How to Send Gently Loved Bears

Do you only accept stuffed bears?

TFT accepts any type of stuffed animal, superhero, or character in any size, shape, or color. If its clean, cute, and cuddly, we will find a home for it.

Why do you need donations?

Why do you need my bear(s) to be sponsored?

To send Bear(s) to a third world country involves buying a used suitcase (about $30 from a thrift store) and the airline baggage fee for transport (about $40). Total cost is about $70. We find people who are going to poor countries to do charity work and ask them to take an extra suitcase with them.

To help with the large cost, we create an email with pics of your bears to be used as a sponsorship pledge. We ask that you please forward the email to your friends and family so they can help support you with your gracious and kind gift.

How many Teddy Bears can I donate?

We will take as many new or gently loved bears as you would like to give.

Where do my Teddy Bears go?

The short answer is all over the world. In addition to shipping bears to Third World countries, we also work with local nonprofits, charities, food pantrys, and homeless shelters, that help children in your community.

Can I get a picture of the child that receives my bear?

Each time we give a bear to a child we ask if we can take his or her picture. Most of the time we get a yes and everything is great. However, there are some instances where a child or mother does not want a picture taken. In these instances, we must respect their privacy.
